Neeb Center on June 29, 2009Hinderlie and Hong Seismic UpgradesHinderlie and Hong Residence Halls are being seismically retrofitted to comply with the State of Washngton seismic standards. Pease Construction will be the General Contractor, James Guerro Architects is the architectural firm and Coughlin, Porter and Lundeen are the structural engineers for this project.Future ProjectsEastvold Chapel RenovationEastvold
Chapel and Auditorium, built in 1952, is home to our emblem, the Rose
Window. The renovation of Eastvold will modernize the auditorium and theatre spaces and improve Tower Chapel. Campus EntrancePlanning has begun for the creation of a ceremonial "front door" to the PLU campus. The new campus entrance will highlight the historic Harstad Hall and provide a more welcoming entrance for visitors.Olson RenovationPlanning is underway for the renovation of Olson Auditorium and Gymnasium. During the renovation, Olson will be reorganized and modernized to improve the classroom areas, gathering spaces, and athletic facilities of the School of Education and Movement Studies.Fitness Sports CenterPlanning has begun for a new Fitness Center, which will replace Names Fitness Center, Memorial Gym, the swimming pool, and the Bistro. |
