Project OverviewThe new bookstore, Garfield Book Company at PLU, is officially open for business at 208 Garfield Street, on the corner of Garfield Street and Pacific Avenue. The store offers textbooks, PLU memorabilia, and school supplies. It carries products for the Franklin-Pierce and Bethel school districts, and home-schooled children. Other tenants of the Garfield Commons development include Farrelli's Wood Fired Gourmet Pizza, Origin 23 (formerly Firehouse Coffee), Pita Pit, Emerald City Smoothie, Desert Sun Tanning Salon, Tight Cuts hair salon and Uni Teriyaki. The store is open Monday through Friday from 10am-8pm, Saturday from 11am-7pm, and Sunday from 11am-6pm. PLU employees receive a 10% discount on purchases of clothing, gift items, general books and PLU logo items when they present a PLU ID card prior to checkout.
