The programs the Pacific Lutheran University School of Nursing offer depend upon the student's goals, experience and educational background. Whether you are an undergraduate or graduate student, you are recognized as an individual learner who comes with a unique background relevant to your learning and career development. Our undergraduate programs are tailored to the basic baccalaureate student pursuing the BSN and the LPN pursuing the BSN. The distinctiveness of each of these groups is recognized and supported equitably and appropriately. Many of our undergraduate students choose to have an "international experience" which means they spend a semester or January term studying nursing or health care in another country such as Tobago, Jamaica, China or Norway. Our graduate program culminates with the student earning a master's degree, the MSN. BSN graduates are eligible to apply for our basic MSN program. We also offer an Entry-Level MSN program, an accelerated program designed so that individuals who have a bachelors degree in a field other than nursing can earn their Masters of Science in Nursing degree. Our Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) center provides excellent continuing education for nurses and other interested health care professionals. Our professional and educational standards, our innovative responses to changing health care markets and our distinguished history of educating students for lives of service have earned the Pacific Lutheran University School of Nursing a reputation for excellence in the Pacific Northwest. Our esteemed alumni include a member of the United States House of Representatives. We invite you to become a part of our tradition. |
