á        The GWU National Security Archive is a remarkable resource, what we hoped the internet would become, assembling many historical documents about IR, security, war and peace. 

á        Foreign Affairs Online is a wide-ranging source of links about international affairs, good starting place. 

á        A page linking sources about nuclear weapons 

á        The Election Knowledge Network has information on elections in the US and all over the world

á        The Center for Strategic and International Studies is first rate, and they publish Washington Quarterly.

á         The Institute for the Study of War seeks to educate civilians about issues in security and military leadership.

á        The Rand Corporation studies many security issues. 

á        FAS offers us the Military Intelligence Professional Bulletin, which might again, soon, be published openly. 

á        Juan ColeÕs Blog 

á        The Council on Foreign Relations has lots of material on Iraq, and a Middle East page; they also have a page of Iraq-related links. They publish the journal Foreign Affairs.

á        The Carnegie Council for Ethics and International Affairs has many sources on the topic

á        The SITE Institute tracks international terrorism, translates many non-English web pages used by violent groups.

á         Global Security pays attention to WMD, homeland security, military issues

á        Brookings has a page on Middle East issues, and a page of Iraq resources. They keep a good deal of data in the form of the Iraq Index, a collection of indicators about the situation in Iraq.

á        The Center for Arms Control & Non-Proliferation studies, among other things, the US military budget.

á        The Carnegie Endowment has a page on Iraq. They did a report on postwar policy. See also the extensive resources on their Proliferation News And Resources page.

á        The International Crisis Group has a page on its studies involving Iraq, Iran, and the Gulf

á        The World Security Institute does some interesting things, including this piece (12/6/06) by Anthony Zinni.

á        The Center for Defense Information used to maintain a page on Iraq. CDI is part of World Security Institute.

á        The Cato Institute has a page on Middle East affairs

á        The Center for Constitutional Rights focuses on civil and human right from a social justice position. See their Guantanamo page.

á        Statewatch is a European group that keeps track of civil liberties in Europe. They have a page on news and documents regarding European cooperation with U.S. extraordinary rendition policies.
