Hey! My name is Josh Overly. I'm a sophomore at Pacific Lutheran Univ in Tacoma WA. I came to PLU because I wanted to stay close to home and at the same time I wanted a good education and I had heard a lot of good things about this school. I'm from Gig Harbor Washington just outside of Tacoma. I went to Peninsula High School and graduated in 2006 looking forward to moving across the bridge and heading to college at PLU. I'm in the Army ROTC at PLU and I'll be contracting at the end of January 2008.

I also play rugby for Univ of Puget Sound across town because PLU doesn't have a rugby team and I plan to keep playing it for some time. I like to hang out with my friends and just live life and have a good time along the way. In my spare time when the weather corporates I've been known to play a little golf with friends and family. I also enjoy poker from time to time with friends or whoever.
Since I have been at PLU I have noticed things about myself that I hadn't noticed before. My study habits, or lack there of. In High School I never had to work at any school work and I barely went to class. I had to quickly changes those habits at this school if I wanted to get anywhere. A second habit that I had to break quickly or get left in the dust was my sleeping schedule, you can't stay up all night and than sleep all day and still make it to classes if you want to pass. Pacific Lutheran Univ was the best decision that I have ever made in my life. I'm glad that I made the decision and I'm happy that I changed for the better.
