Commencement is quickly approaching! Graduation applications, along with Academic Program Contracts (APCs), were due December 1st for all May and August graduates.  This means your graduates have already taken a vital step on the path to Commencement!  
Personalized Degree Evaluations are currently available through the Registrar’s Office.  This is an opportunity for your student to look over their transcript with a Registrar’s Office representative to be 100% sure they have completed the necessary courses to graduate in May or August, so make sure your student has made this appointment! 

The next step is purchasing their Cap and Gown!  Students will be emailed online ordering instructions in March.  This is also that time when students can purchase customized announcements.  Also, be sure to your graduate plans to attend Senior DisOrientation this spring!  This event is about handling the realities of life in the ‘real world’ such as rent, utilities, car payments, insurance, and student loan payments!  

This is an exciting time for graduation candidates, their friends, and families.  Mark your calendars for Commencement Weekend, May 22-24, 2009!  Detailed information is mailed out to candidates and families in April, so it is important that your student has updated his or her address, including parents’ and family addresses.  Graduation candidates are also kept informed via their PLU email address and information is always available online at via the graduation webpage
