Lutes Across the Globe
PLU’s focus on global education continues to make headlines and open new and exciting opportunities for students. This year PLU was awarded the Senator Paul Simon Award for Campus Internationalization. This award highlights PLU’s strong commitment to global education both on and off campus, in the classroom and in the field.
The J-term offerings for January 2011 will be released this January, which is always highly anticipated! This January, 20 J-term programs with approximately 300 students will traverse the globe on seven continents. Programs cover a variety of locations with a wide range of academic course credits offered.
The Wang Center for Global Education will once again highlight PLU’s J-term Programs with a
J-term Blog that we encourage you to visit. Programs participating in the blog include: Antarctica, China, Ecuador, Germany, Ireland, Namibia, Neah Bay, New Zealand, the United Arab Emirates, and Uganda. Both students and faculty will be sharing their experiences, including President Loren and MaryAnn Anderson, who will be joining the Antarctica J-term Program.
Bryanna Plog, a Sojourner Advocate, will be writing to Parent eNews from Antarctica, so check your February eNews to read about her experiences.
