Academic Assistance Center Offers Excellent Services
The Academic Assistance Center (AAC) at PLU is the university’s student peer tutoring program. Students at all ability levels can benefit from meeting with these tutors who are recommended and approved by faculty, screened carefully for interpersonal skills, and trained according to College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA) guidelines. The goal of any tutoring session is to help the student become a more confident and independent learner. Tutors guide students toward understanding, provide strategies for learning and memory, and can sometimes offer an inside-track view of a particular class or a professor’s style.
