The Health
Center has been busy caring for sick students as colds seem to have
started earlier than usual this year. We perform sports physical exams
and travel counseling for J-Term and Semester Abroad programs.
Students traveling abroad may receive a complete travel medicine
service from the Health Center, including immunizations and
prescriptions. Practitioners from the Health Center visit each J-Term
class to discuss key elements vital to staying healthy while abroad.
Currently, the Health Center is offering flu shots. We recommend them for all students living on campus, for those with respiratory problems, chronic illnesses such as diabetes, and for students studying abroad. A flu shot clinic was held in the University Center last week. If your student missed it, we can give flu shots at the Health Center on a walk-in basis at any time. There is a $25 charge for the shot that can be put on a student account or paid at the time of the visit.
