Bummed that you can’t make it to Hawaii this year? Join us at the PLU Hawaii Club’s Annual Luau and chase those blues away!
Now in its 11th year, the luau is a completely student-run production, combining the talents of our PLU community in a cultural exchange unlike any other. The evening includes live music, a delicious tropically-themed meal and a “country store” which features local Hawaiian snacks and souvenirs available for purchase. The real excitement takes place, however, during the spectacular hula program which showcases our very own PLU students, faculty, and staff!
This year, on April 19th, we invite you to a sampling of Polynesian tradition, music, and culture, including dances from Aotearoa (New Zealand), Samoa, Tahiti, and of course, Hawaii. Come experience Olson Auditorium transformed into a tropical paradise!
Tickets for this year’s show are $12 for adults and $10 for PLU students (children 5 and under are free). They are available online through LuteWorld (PLU bookstore), on campus at the Old Main Market or by visiting the Hawaii Club table during lunch and dinner hours in the University Center (beginning in April). This year, we are also pleased to offer ticket purchasing via Dining Dollars for PLU students, so make sure your student takes advantage!
Seats fill up fast, so don’t wait! We sincerely hope that you and your family take the time this April to celebrate and share with us – you won’t regret it!
