It is hard to believe that the 2006-2007 year is almost over. It seems
like August 31st was just yesterday, when so many of your students
moved-on campus. There have been many good memories this year, and
everyone in Residential Life has enjoyed having the students on-campus
again this year. We extend best wishes to everyone who is either
graduating, studying away, or pursuing other housing options next year.
As it gets closer to the end of the semester, students will be
receiving more detailed information about what they need to do to
complete the end-of-the year, check-out process, as well as information
about summer housing.
Below are a few highlights about what students will need to do
prior to moving-out at the end of the semester, and completing the
official check-out process with a RA.
Dates & Deadlines to know

Summer Housing Sign-Ups ~ April 11th - May 4th
- Traditional Halls (all halls but South Hall) Close ~ Friday, May 25th, 6:00 pm
- Students Moving to Summer Housing Move ~ Sunday, May 27th, 6:00 - 9:00 pm
- Students Approved To Stay Late For Graduation Check-Out ~ Sunday, May 27th, 6:00 pm
- South Hall Closes ~ Friday, June 1st, 6:00 pm
End of Year Basics:
Move out & Check Out

In conjunction with the check-out deadlines listed above, students will
need to schedule a check-out appointment with his/her RA prior to when
they are ready to check-out.

Students living in South Hall and Kreidler Hall use an Express
Check-Out method for checking-out, instead of scheduling a check-out
appointment with a RA.

All belongings must be out of the student's room before the RA can begin the check-out process.

Roommates are encouraged to, but do not need to check-out at the same time.

Students who don't check-out with a RA, miss his/her check-out
appointment, don't check-out by the deadline, or leave personal items
in the room, may be subject to penalty fines.*

Students who are approved to stay late for graduation (those
graduating, those helping with graduation, or siblings who are
graduating) need to check-out no later than 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May
27th.

Students who applied for summer housing will move on Sunday, May 27th
from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Additional information about summer housing is
available below.
*A complete list of charges is listed on
the back of the student's Room Condition Report (RCR) that s/he
filled-out when they checked into their room.

Anyone who needs housing beyond Sunday, May 27th will need to sign-up for Summer Housing in the Residential Life Office.

Summer Housing is available in Hong and Kreidler Halls.

Applications will be available on April 11th and are due back to the Residential Life Office by 5:00 p.m., May 4th.
-
Students not currently living in Hong or Kreidler Halls will move to summer housing on Sunday, May 27th, from 6:00 - 9:00 pm.
