My Trip to Hawaii

In June 2006, I was able to join my boyfriend and his family on a ten day trip to Hawaii. I had to save up a lot of money in only a couple of months in order to have enough to pay for a round trip plane ticket. This was my first trip to Hawaii, so I was really excited!

While getting ready for Hawaii, I had to work a lot. (Not only did I need money for a plane ticket, I needed money for clothes to wear in Hawaii and not to mention shopping money for while I was actually in Hawaii). As the days approached to our trip, I got a little nervous about the plane ride there. I had been on a plane before, but just the idea of flying over such a large body of water made me nervous.

Major places we visited or things that we did were:

1. Visited the Iao Needle
2. Went to the top of Haleakala (the top is about 10,000 feet above sea level!
3. Ate dinner at the and shopped in Lahaina
4. And of course we visited the beach every day!
