LSAC
The Law School Admissions Council (LSAC) is the governing body
for admission into law school. This is the organization that
writes and administers your LSAT. The LSAC has
a website that you will use thoughout your application process.
Some of its services are free, while others require a payment.
The LSAC provides potential law school students with the services and information they need to apply to law school. Such services include:
LSDAS
The Law School Data Assembly Service (LSDAS) is a way to centralize
your application process. It is wise to apply to several law schools
to ensure your best chance of admission, and doing so can create a
mountain of applications and paperwork. The LSDAS is your ticket to
climbing that mountain.
The LSDAS prepares a report about you for those law schools to which
you apply. This report includes your undergraduate transcripts, LSAT
scores and writing sample, applications, personal essays, letters of
recommendation, and any other information that may be neccessary.
Information about the LSDAS can be found, along with the registration forms, at the LSAC website.
