The
National Board for Professional Teaching Standards is an intensive
program for teachers who are looking to excel in the
teaching community. PLU offers a comprehensive support program
for teachers interested in pursuing this level of certification. National Board is a rigorous, year-long process
for experienced teachers.
The National Board offers 24 certificates covering a range of subjects and grade levels. Through the Washington Initiative, PLU is excited to offer a partnership program for National Board candidates.
Small support groups are led by National Board Certificated
teachers/facilitators. These facilitators provide
guidance for candidates.
