Entrance Requirements
1) Final High School Transcript
A final high school transcript includes the following:
• The date that you graduated
• An original signature or school seal
It must be received in a sealed envelope sent directly from your high school
2) Foreign Language
This requirement can be met by any of the following options:
• 2 years of high school study of a single language with at least a C average
• 1 year of college study of a single language with at least a C average
• You’re bilingual
• Demonstrated equivalent proficiency
3) Mathematics
This requirement can be met by either of the following options:
• 2 years of college prep mathematics with at least a C average
(This is usually algebra and geometry at the high school level.)
• Demonstrated equivalent proficiency
(This means passing a college level math course that has been approved by the Math Department to meet the Math entrance requirement. At PLU, this is Math 115 or higher. At other schools, College Algebra is a common introductory level college math course.)
The Registrar’s Office evaluates all high school and college transcripts to determine if Entrance Requirements have been met.
