Groups: CAPP Report Guide
You will find a description based on each of the red highlighted numbers in the following screen shot of a PLU CAPP Report. Each number will have a corresponding description below.
The numbered items below marked by an asterisk (*) are considered the most important to understand and view when looking at the CAPP report. These are the most helpful and critical pieces of information that the CAPP provides. They are also underlined in yellow, in the screen shot above. Please note that items on the CAPP report in Red indicate an unmet requirement.
- * Group: Core I Requirements - Not Met: This is the heading above each group of requirements. The titles will be different based on which requirements the group represents. When all requirements in the group are complete "Not Met" will change to "Met."
- * Met Column: This column shows whether or not each individual requirement within the group has been met. If it says "Yes", the requirement is complete. If it says "No", the requirement is not complete.
- Condition Column: In this column, the "AND" means you are required to complete your Writing requirement, "AND" your Arts requirement, "AND" your PE requirement "AND" your Literature requirement, continuing down the list until each requirement is met.
- Rule Column: This column shows rules defined in Banner that assign certain courses you have taken to the appropriate requirements on the CAPP Report. It is simply part of the Banner programming and does not need to be used to interpret the CAPP Report.
- * Subject Column: Here you can find a short description of what you must take in order to complete any given requirement. You can match the two letter attribute code at the end of the line with courses in the catalog to find one to fulfill the requirement.
- Attribute to Required Courses Columns: Currently, the columns labeled Attributes, Low, High, Required Credits, and Required Courses are not used in any of the Groups on the General University Requirements CAPP Report.
- * Term Column: This is the term in which you took the course used to satisfy a requirement. If you transferred the course in, it will be the term in which the course was transferred.
- * Subject Column: This is the four-digit subject heading of the course used to satisfy a requirement.
- * Course Column: This is the number of the course used to satisfy the requirement. If it has a TR after the number (100TR), it means the course is a general 100 level transfer course without a specific PLU equivalent course.
- * Title Column: This is the title of the course used to complete a requirement.
- Attribute Column: This column shows the course attribute that is used to meet the requirement. Course attributes are defined in Banner and used to indicate which GUR(s) a course can meet.
- * Credits Column: This is the number of semester hours that each course is worth. The bottom of this column features the total semester hours for all of the courses in the group, both completed and registered.
- * Grade Column: This is the grade that was earned for the course. If there is no grade listed, it is because the course is "in progress" and/or you are currently enrolled in it. If the grade has an "T" in front, such as "TA-" or "TC", it means Transfer. Transfer courses are not calculated into your PLU GPA.
- Source Column: This column indicates the part of your student/academic record used to fulfill a particular requirement.
H: Academic History: Courses from PLU that are complete
R: Registration: Courses that are "in progress" and/or you are currently enrolled in.
T: Transfer: Courses that you transferred to PLU.
Z: Student Attribute: Codes used to identify particular student record details.
