Pass (P) and Fail (F) are grades for courses which have either been designated as Pass/Fail courses by the department . A student may have chosen to designate the course a Pass/Fail course by filling out the Pass/Fail Form.
Faculty submit regular letter grades for these students and the computer automatically converts the grade to P/F.
