"I may be compelled to face danger, but never fear it,
and while our soldiers can stand and fight,
I can stand and feed and nurse them."
As a soldier and operating room technician I was responsible for the welfare and health of my fellow battle buddies and also my patients in the operating room. I believe the attributes of caring and being compassionate came from my experiences in the military.
I grew up in a loving and caring family. I have two awesome parents and two bright younger siblings. My parents worked hard to provide for me all that I needed in life and I hope to do the same for my children in the future.
When I am not studying for class or in clinicals, I am working out. I love to spend time with my girlfriend and friends. I also participate in Reserve Officer Training Corps on a green to gold scholarship. When I graduate from nursing school, I plan to be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corp. I want to help the soldiers who are fighting for our freedom as well as their families.
