Nativity
as a protein is built it contorts itself 
into spirals pretzels and chutes & ladders 
each amino acid giving the whole
a new complexity a new solidity  	

	The amino acids are seconds,  

a protein has several distinct shapes
each with its own properties and advantages 
in its native shape however 
it is (thermodynamically) most stable 
and this is how a protein wants to stay

  	and we are a protein.
