Elementary/Middle School Division: K-8
Students in Kindergarten through 8th grade compete according to grade. The student's grade is their category.
High School Division: 9-12
Students in the 9th through 12th grades do not compete within their grade. For more information on the categories visit the INTEL ISEF category description page. 9th through 12th grade students compete in their choice of one of the following 17 categories:
