The best and most creative place to get ideas is from your own interests. Choose something that you are interested in. Ask yourself a question about it, propose an answer, test your answer.
If you have an idea but aren't sure how to make a project out of it, contact your teacher or the Science Fair Director at colgansj@plu.edu.
There are some resource suggestions below if you are still stumped for ideas. Use these as a starting point and then do a variation on the projects they outline. You may find that in some places you can find an entire project on-line, do not download the project and enter it as your own. This is a form of plagiarism and will disqualify you from the fair.
Here are some places you can go:
- Science Buddies
- Science Fair Topics
- Discovery Channel: Science Fair Central
- Science Fairs Homepage
- All Science Fair Projects
- The Ultimate Science Fair Resource
- Projects from "Try Science"
