PresidentThe President is to serve as the head of the organization. The President should encourage and motivate the other members of the Executive Board and be involved in their areas of responsibility. The President should send out an agenda before each board meeting and provide direction for the other board members. The President will work closely with the Faculty Advisor and communicate effectively with the board, guest speakers, club mentors and the SHRM Parent Chapter. The President is also responsible for the student club Merit Award participation, succession planning for the Executive Board, finances, and contacting guest speakers. Jennifer Roath Jennifer Roath is in her fourth year at PLU and planning on graduating in December 2009. She will have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Management and Human Resources and in Finance as well as a minor in Spanish. She is currently looking for an internship in the field of human resources and would like to work as a generalist in the future. Jennifer has a special interest in childrens' services and health research organizations. She plans to take the HRCI PHR test in the winter of 2009 and will potentially take the LSAT and attend a northwest law school to specialize in employment law. Jennifer's other interests include reading, cooking, scuba diving, traveling, and being outdoors. |
