Student Conduct

Purpose

Philosophy

The student conduct system is part of the university's commitment to holistic student development.  It is the university's purpose to assist students in:

    (1) developing a personal set of values and ethics;
    (2) managing emotions;
    (3) making decisions and following through on commitments;
    (4) becoming independent;
    (5) recognizing interdependence; and
    (6) accepting the consequences of personal actions and decisions.

In addition to the Student Code of Conduct, other rules and regulations developed by PLU may be found in the Course Catalog, Housing Contract, Dining Contract, Student Parking Regulation brochure and the PLU Housing Guide.

The university adopts only such policies, rules and regulations that seem necessary for the welfare of the educational community.

The PLU Student Handbook is available online or in print (by request only through the Student Involvement and Leadership office - x7195, sil@plu.edu).  Although the Student Handbook undergoes annual review, information contained within it is subject to change by PLU at any time.  Notice of such changes will be made via Campus Voice or The Mast.
