If you want to know more about my work, here is my curriculum vitae (updated December 2011).

Recent projects:

In spring 2012, students in MATH 123 and MATH 124 wrote some thought-provoking, engaging mathematics lessons about water. Here is the link to the webpage dedicated to these lessons.

The Mathlete Coaching Project has an almost complete webpage: check it out! The project trains PLU students to prepare 5-8 grade students for the Washington State Math Olympiad.

Mathematical interests: Mathematics education, especially teaching mathematics for social justice and equity in mathematics education; mathematical logic, especially intuitionist, constructive, and reverse mathematics. If you are interested in any of these things, or want to know what they mean, email me, or stop by my office.

For Mathematics Education Majors: I have created a page for future math teachers that includes: resources for teaching and learning mathematics; summer job options for preservice teachers; information about standards and standardized tests; recommended books; and especially information about the relevance of upper-division college mathematics courses to mathematics teaching in middle and high schools. Go to mathedmajorresource.html. The page is frequently updated with new articles and websites.
