VENUES

The School of Arts and Communication is housed in four facilities-- Aida Ingram Hall, Eastvold Auditorium, Mary Baker Russell Music Center, and Theatre House.

Aida Ingram Hall

Aida Ingram Hall is home to the departments of Art and Communication & Theatre. Communication and Art faculty members are located in Ingram, while Theatre and Dance faculty members are located in Theatre House. Ingram Hall is home to both a communications computer lab and a digital photography/graphic design lab. There are several art/studio classrooms for painting, ceramics, sculpture, photography, and printmaking. Ingram also boasts two galleries: the University Gallery (which houses major shows and exhibitions) and the Wekell Gallery (which generally houses student and class work). In addition to department-specific classrooms and studios, Ingram also has an 80-seat multimedia lecture hall, which is utilized by several departments across the University.

Eastvold Auditorium

Eastvold Auditorium, which seats 1100, is the home of PLU Theatre. All mainstage productions take place in Eastvold, and the Auditorium also hosts a range of smaller productions throughout the year. In addition, the facility is used for Music Department performances, student organizations (such as the popular Night of Musical Theatre and the annual Alpha Psi Omega production) and external events.

Mary Baker Russell Music Center

Mary Baker Russell Music Center is the critically acclaimed home of our Music department. The acoustically impressive and well-known Lagerquist Concert Hall houses the Gottfried and Mary Fuchs Organ (which is the largest University-based organ on the West Coast) as well as to state-of-the-art practice and performance facilities. The Amphitheater houses the popular Jazz Under the Stars summer concert series, and is a popular location for both lectures and relaxation.
