IEP Information

Special Education has a lot of legal issues associated with it. Individual Education Plans (IEP’S) are the paperwork end of the legal process. All of the papers keep track of a student’s goals, progress, and the educator’s responsibilities. Although there are many forms and papers, they are arranged in numerical order and psychologists and special education teachers are responsible for filling them out. Physical Educators just need to be aware and attend meetings whenever since physical education is specifically listed as a part of special education in the federal law.

The Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction Is the best site for educators in the state of Washington. It gives all of the laws and rules along with factual information, links, and articles.

PE Central is an excellent site also which gives specific information to Physical educators about Adapted Physical Education and adapted students.
