Adapted Physical Activity Quarterly

The official journal of the International Federation of Adapted Physical Activity. This multidisciplinary journal provides the latest scholarly inquiry related to physical activity for special populations. Regular features include case studies; techniques for adapting equipment, facilities, methodology, and settings; editorial commentary; article abstracts; and book reviews.

Palaestra

As a quarterly publication and premier resource on adapted physical activity, PALAESTRA's mission is to:

  • enlighten parents in all aspects of physical activity, making them the best advocates for their children during IEP (Individual Education Program) discussions with school or community recreation staffs;
  • to increase the knowledge base of professionals working with children or adults with disabilities, making them aware of the "can do" possibilities of their students/clients;
  • to show the value physical activity holds for adult readers' increased wellness.

Orthotics and Prosthetics

The JPO Online Library contains all issues of the Journal of Prosthetics and Orthotics dating back to its inception in 1989, in a fully searchable format. It is presented by the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, as a service to clinicians worldwide.

Journal of Rehabilitation Research and Development

JRRD has contracted with ScholarOne to develop its new Web-based peer review system, JRRD Manuscript Central, which was launched January 6, 2003. Authors will submit online (cover letter, manuscript, clinical relevance, tables, and figures), and Associate Editors and reviewers will review online. Communications, including reviews, reminders, and decision letters, will be sent via e-mail and thus arrive at their destinations almost instantaneously. Associate Editors will be able to search a database of reviewers using keywords. All access will be password-protected and controlled according to roles. The goal is to speed up the review process and to make participation easier for both authors and reviewers. To submit a manuscript please go to http://jrrd.manuscriptcentral.com. All you need to do is create a user id and password that you can remember to start the submission process.

Archives of Physical Medical and Rehabilitation
