The Office of Special Academic Programs coordinates various interdisciplinary and special programs at PLU. The programs we assist and the services we can provide include: 

Summer Sessions -  PLU offers a wide range of summer courses during
three regular summer sessions and a workshop week. There are also a
number of special programs and popular activities such as the Summer
Fruit Festivals and Jazz Under the Stars. For further information about

Our office can help students and other visitors:

- Register for INTC classes. All 200 and 300 level
International Core classes require in-person registration
in the Special Academic Programs office. Come anytime
during regular office hours (8:00 am - 5:00 pm) to sign
up or get further information.

- Check on Core I equivalencies and file the necessary
paperwork for transfering INTC credit towards Core I
requirements. If you have decided, after completing an
INTC seminar, not to continue with the program, our
office can help you make the necessary arrangements to
make sure that your INTC credits are applied
appropriately to your Core I requirements. No
appointment necessary!

Summer Advanced Placement Institutes for High School Teachers 

PLU offers a one-week workshop (July 22-26, 2002) 
for High School AP teachers. This institute is certified by the
College Board and offers AP training for teachers in a number of subjects.
College credit is available. On-campus housing is also available. For course

Summer Scholars at PLU - Summer Scholars is a three-week
residential academically-oriented learning experience for highly capable
and highly motivated students who are entering grades 4-11. For further
