PLU's High School Chamber Music Workshop is an opportunity for High School Chamber Music groups around Washington and Oregon to receive an all day coaching experience with PLU's music faculty, culminating in a public recital in PLU's magnificent Lagerquist Concert Hall.  Participation in the program is open to the following instrumental areas: violin, viola, 'cello, bass, harp, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba and piano.

The faculty is especially seeking pre-established and pre-reheased string quartets, woodwind quintets, and brass quintets that may be preparing for solo performances as well as solo and ensmble contests.

Members of the PLU Music Faculty and PLU's three resident ensembles, the Camas Wind Quintet, the Lyric Brass Quintet, and the Regency String Quartet, will coach students and prepare them for the evening's performance.  Members of the PLU faculty and PLU students will also take part in the performance.

Dinner is provided as part of the experience, as well as a campus tour (including a tour of the organ loft in Lagerquist). A recording of the concert will be made and sent to participating groups as an archive of the experience.
