I have worked at the Reference Desk in the Mortvedt Library since I started at PLU in September 2004. During my time here the position has evolved into a section of Information Technology and now has merged with Resnet.

Employee Responsibilities

At the Reference Desk we are responsible for many tasks, including...

• Assisting students and faculty in locating Library materials
• Maintaining Library computers and keeping the Lab clean
• Assisting in repairing software issues with student computers
• Re-shelving and pulling Library materials for classes
• Answering phones
• Relaying information from students to Library staff
• Writing order cards
• Photocopying materials
• Filing tickets for work orders
