Hello, my name is Justin Williams. I have studied the martial arts nearly my entire life. Among these, there were a few that seemed very practical for a self defense application. The following are a few of my preferred styles:
It is a very brutal style, combining lightning fast leg kicks, and
crippling knee and elbow attacks.
It is an all around art, comprised of punching, kicking, grappling, and throwing techniques; as well as knife and gun take-aways.To practice these arts, there are a few materials you need. They may include:
Leg and forearm guards, to protect you in case someone accidentally hits you.
A mouth guard, to protect your teeth.
Head gear, in case you get punched while you are sparring
And whatever weapons may be necessary for the class.
