Sexual Assault Peer Education Team

Sexual Assault Peer Education Team

SAPET members promote awareness of sexual assault by presenting information to their peers in classes, resident halls and other student settings. SAPET provides a rich and unique experience, and is one of the few peer education programs that exists at colleges and universities of comparable size and scope to PLU.

SAPET raises awareness & facilitates discussions around:
• Issues of sexual communication on college campuses
• Role of alcohol in sexual relations
• Personal safety
• Empathy and support for survivors of sexual assault

Interested in promoting community awareness around
the issue of sexual assault and healthy relationships?

Here's what you can do:
• Participate in training to gain skills & learn how to facilitate
  SAPET presentations (24 hrs training)
• Distribute SAPET information around campus
• Make phone calls
• Create SAPET posters and pamphlets

Working as a community we can create change!
