You are probably wondering," Who is this Crossroads Representative?", and perhaps, "Why should you trust this person?"
The Crossroads Rep. is a student who has been chosen to represent the group publicly. The Rep. works hand in hand with the Staff/Faulty Facilitator to plan and run individual meetings as well as more long term events. The Rep. works under the strictest of confidentiality, and will never give out information learned in meetings, e-mails, or private communication concerning Crossroads.
The current Crossroads Representative is Samantha Glover, a senior who is starting her first term as representative. Erin Dana is the Staff/Faculty Facilitator for Crossroads who is entering her second term in this position.
Responsibilities of the Rep. include:
- Organizing meetings Speaking on behalf of the group at Harmony meetings
- Speaking on behalf of the group to faculty and administration
- Being the public face of the group
- Maintaining the Crossroads e-mail and website
- Ensuring the confidentiality of the group
- Admitting new members to the group.
Since this is a position chosen by a consensus decision among members of Crossroads, a new Representative can be chosen at any time if the group so chooses.
