Three movements for organ.
Commissioned in 1987 by the Tacoma, Washington chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
Duration: 10min.
NOTES The three movements of Amazing Grace are based on motives and phrases
of the famous American hymn. The first movement is a homage to Bach's chorale prelude style
in which the tune is presented phrase by phrase amidst sections based on sub-motives.
The second movement is a fugue with an central episode, and the third is a series of
variations on the theme.
