Welcome to the Lute Family
As an international student, connection matters! The college experience is about getting involved. No other time in our lives are we saturated with so many diverse ideas, perspectives, lifestyles and goals. Lutes have a multitude of options and opportunities to become involved.
All new international students are highly encouraged to participate in all days of New Student Orientation (NSO). During NSO, international students will have the opportunity to engage in service trips, meet fellow students, connect with faculty, and learn about various offices on campus that will support your success at PLU.
New Student Orientation:
August 29 | On-campus housing move-in
August 30 – September 5 | Mandatory orientation sessions
September 5 | Classes begin
PLU hosts an Involvement Fair each fall where students can learn about things going on and around campus! There will be over 100 tables, including campus offices, clubs and organizations, and other other opportunities to experience. The possibilities are limitless! Typically, the Involvement Fair has taken place directly following Convocation, but this year we have moved it to later in the week to provide more opportunities for students to get involved and experience Lute life! Don’t miss this year’s Involvement Fair on Friday, September 8th, 3:30-5:00pm! Stop by and enjoy some popcorn, listen to performances by various groups and engage with your fellow Lutes!
At PLU, you’ll find your time beyond the classroom is an important part of your college experience. We’re excited for the ways you will make an impact on campus!
