Welcome to the Lute Family

Sept. 1–5, 2017

Congratulations on your enrollment for the first semester at PLU! You are ready to move forward. The next step is to register to attend New Student Orientation and select your On The Road trip.

New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation (or NSO) is a time to learn about the resources you will need to be successful during your time at PLU and to make connections with your fellow Lutes. In the four days before classes begin, you will engage with current students, other new students, PLU faculty and staff as we invite you into your new PLU community. We will help you prepare for your first semester by directing you to various academic resources, including your academic advisor, Academic Assistance, Career Connections and other important offices. In addition, you will learn about ways to become involved on campus and engage in exciting PLU traditions! We look forward to meeting you all and being part of your collegiate experience.

On The Road

ON THE ROAD On The Road is one of the key activities at NSO. It is a vibrant campus tradition in which new students explore various aspects of their new Tacoma home. Day trips vary from service trips to tours, hikes, museums and more in the greater Tacoma area and range in price from free to $25. While registering for NSO, you can pick your favorite trip, which will allow you to build community with other new students.
