Hello from the School of Arts and Communication Dean

Dear SOAC Alumni and Friends:

Welcome to our second annual Alumni Magazine of the School of Arts and Communication at Pacific Lutheran University – Acclaim. There is much to celebrate as we highlight our student achievements, alumni successes, and faculty accomplishments. Our nationally acclaimed School of Arts and Communication—one of the hallmarks of PLU—applauds our alumni, who are performing and creating on Broadway, in TV and film, as well as on stages and concert halls around the world, and at news and media organizations nationwide. We are committed to providing our students with an exceptional education and to building and enhancing our community through the study, practice, and understanding of artistic expression.

I hope that you will take some time to review the great news from SOAC that is contained in this online magazine. As always, our dedicated SOAC colleagues—staff and students alike—worked very hard putting this all together. I encourage you to stay in touch with us (or re-connect) by subscribing to our monthly e-mail newsletter SOACtivities, on Facebook, or stopping by to say hello. I also encourage you to consider making a gift of any kind in support of the School of Arts and Communication. The reasons for making a gift are personal and varied. Every donation makes an incredible difference—whether you are grateful for your PLU experience and want to give back, you wish to leave a legacy to benefit future Lutes, you feel passionate about supporting an important cause or influential faculty mentor, or you simply want to take advantage of donor tax benefits. Our gratitude for your contribution is heartfelt and sincere.

I am so very proud of our almost 5,000 SOAC Alums and express my heartfelt appreciation to our many friends and supporters near and far.

Sincerely,

CB casual sig
