What do you like most about PLU? I like the fact that PLU provides a lot scholarships to students based on their academic achievements. As a transfer student from a community college, it is always hard to find a university like PLU that gives this huge amount of scholarships, especially for international students. And this was one of the main reasons I decided to choose PLU. Aside from the scholarships, I also found the college very attractive due to the people that are here. People are usually very nice, friendly, and care about you. A lesson, I have learned during visit days, which made me even more interested about the university. Moreover, internship opportunities available for students are endless, thus giving you the job training you need for your future professional career.

What do you do for the Admission office? As an intern for the Admission Office, my job is to contact both prospective and newly admitted students through phone calls or emails in order to follow up with their required or missing documents, enter data and answer questions regarding the application process, help organize files and plan events.

What’s one piece of advice you would give to incoming students? Be friendly and make friends! University is all about experiences and encounters, so make connections for the future. One of the best ways is to get involved in clubs and organizations. However, with all these wonderful activities on campus, you should not also forget about your goals.
