How do you measure success?

Transfer Success After College

There are a lot of good reasons to finish your college degree and they are not very complicated. Most of them come from you wanting to be successful. We get that.

At PLU we give you the skills you need to get a good job with a company you believe in. Or we prepare you for grad school.

We do it while making college affordable for you and, if you have what it takes to work hard, you will graduate on time.

Here are the facts:
  • Ninety-six percent of PLU students report employment or enrollment in graduate school within six months of graduation.
  • Between 85 and 90 percent of PLU students who apply to dental school are accepted. Sixty-six percent of PLU applicants are accepted into medical school – more than twice the national average.
  • Ninety-five percent of PLU students receive financial aid with an average aid package of $27,868.

Transfer Success in College

There is also another kind of success that is important to us and to you. That’s the success you have while you’re at PLU. Here we’ll challenge you to exceed even your own expectations and in doing so we’ll give you the support you need.

The PLU experience includes rigorous coursework, student research and creative projects, study away opportunities and academic Capstone projects.

At the same time, our faculty and student services staff are with you all along the way. Here transfer students get the support they need and want. That’s our commitment to you.

And there is one other big thing. At PLU success includes dedicating yourself to others and leading a life of service. Here you’ll find both your career and your place in the world.

Here are the facts:
  • PLU has five professional schools and offers more than 30 majors – each with several areas of emphasis. All classes at PLU are taught by professors, not teaching assistants. At PLU more than 80 percent professors have Ph.D.s or the highest degree in their field.
  • The Academic Advising office guides transfer students in clarifying education, life and career goals. The new Career Connections office brings together PLU’s best academic and career planning tools to help students transition successfully into the next phase of their life.
