Thank you for supporting Lute Men's Tennis!

Q&A with Coach Paul Koessler
What are some highlights of this year that shows your team succeeding, facing a challenge, and supporting each other?
Our team became more and more supportive of each other as the season progressed. Our program stresses total buy-in from all members of the team to pull for each other and be encouraging on the court, on campus and in the classroom.
What makes your student-athletes special? What makes you feel most proud of your team?
I am proud of how the team handled so much uncertainty and adversity through COVID. I am the Senior’s fourth coach in four years so stability and continuity has been an issue. I am proud of the development of competitive spirit and belief the team is gaining every match.
Looking ahead, what are you most excited about for next year?
I am looking forward to continuing to develop a culture of competing in the right manner. We will do this in the spirit of being good sportsmen, maintaining our composure, and handling adversity as it presents itself. The height of our success is proportional to the depth of our belief.
