Alicia has worked as a member of the PLU Advancement team since 2013, and currently serves as the Director of Annual Giving. With nearly 10 years of fundraising experience, Alicia is responsible for overseeing mail, online, phone, and one-on-one fundraising communications with PLU alumni, parents and friends. While Alicia believes it is important for PLU supporters to give to the areas around campus most meaningful to them, her main priority of focus is the PLU Fund. Increasing and diversifying revenue to this fund enhances the amazing experiences of PLU students by providing scholarships for qualified students with financial need.
Alicia grew up in Oxford Hills, Maine but calls Tacoma home. She graduated from PLU with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Prior to her work at PLU, Alicia served as the Community Outreach Coordinator for Community Services for the Blind and Partially Sighted and as the Assistant Director of Development at Annie Wright Schools before that. In her spare time Alicia enjoys taking classes at the Tacoma Center Y, running, and cooking (and eating) delicious food.
