The health and safety of our campus community remains our utmost priority. As a result, new guidelines have been approved for all Homecoming-related events that include external guests (those without a PLU ID):
Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (or proof of negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the start time) provided to a door host prior to entry into the venue. A person is considered fully vaccinated greater than or equal to 2 weeks after completion of a two-dose mRNA series or single dose of J&J/Janssen vaccine.
- Mask wearing, covering both the mouth and nose, required for event participants or audience when not actively eating or drinking.
- Those younger than 12 are excluded from proof of vaccination or testing, but are required to participate in masking if over the age of 2.
- PLU community members (those with an active PLU ID) are exempt from showing additional proof of vaccination status since these have already been submitted and reviewed.
Vaccine or test verification is to be completed by professional staff or faculty at the venue entrance. Student employees may not serve in this capacity.
Athletic competition events held indoors adhere to NCAA guidelines. Spectators are not required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative test. Masks are required at all times for spectators indoors and food and beverages are to be consumed outside of buildings.
For event planning purposes, it is anticipated that this policy will be in place at least through calendar year 2021.
