You’re cordially invited to the Meyerhoff Lecture Series

Dear Friends,

I am writing today with information about an exciting opportunity for our PLU community.
The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) has invited Pacific Lutheran University to co-
host one of the museum’s oldest endowed lecture series, the annual Meyerhoff Lecture, on our campus
on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.

For the past three years, I have been fortunate enough to work alongside many other faculty who have
been part of a USHMM-led Regional Planning initiative which has been bringing academic programs to
the Pacific Northwest.

Pacific Lutheran University’s Holocaust and Genocide Studies Program, chaired by Dr. Lisa Marcus, and
our collaboration with the USHMM highlights our program’s success and the reputation we have built
nationally. We are honored that the USHMM has asked our institution to co-host part of the annual
Meyerhoff Lecture Series.

We hope you will join us for this special program. Registration is required; please register here.

With warm regards,
Dr. Beth Griech-Polelle, Mayer Chair of Holocaust Studies
