Working From Home Art Contest

This year we experienced the unusual global phenomenon of social distancing, which means working from home became the new norm for most people. For some, it was a great opportunity… and for others, it meant complete isolation, becoming a home-school teacher, or working too much because now work couldn’t be separated from home life. What does working from home mean for you? Is that a benefit you would like when looking for jobs, or are you someone who needs to be away from home to work?

Beginning Monday, March 15th, 2021, current PLU students can submit a photo displaying artwork that conveys what working from home means to them. This could be any medium (photography, sculpture, painted picture, or a sketch. Finalists & contests winners will be displayed in the student newsletter and on our website, so students must be okay with this.

Submissions can be emailed to cpe@plu.edu. The deadline will be March 28th, 2021 at 11:59pm. You can only submit one picture.

The ASC team will review the submissions and vote on their 4 top favorites based on creativity, demonstration of effort, symbolism, and originality.

The 4 finalist will then be displayed in the April 5th, 2021 student newsletter (again students must be okay with their pictures being shared with the PLU community).  PLU students will now have an opportunity to vote until April 11th, 2021. Votes will also go to the CPE email: cpe@plu.edu

Votes will be tallied and we will announce the top 2 winners on Monday, April 19th, 2021.

The winners receive a $25 Lute Locker gift card prize.
