Nya Spivey

Hey everyone my name is Nya, I am a first year at PLU from San Diego, California and Seattle. As a queer SOC (student of color) at this predominantly white institution I want to make sure that ASPLU is uplifting the voices of our minority students. I know how hard it can be to navigate this campus. I want to work on decentering whiteness while keeping PLU and ASPLU accountable of the actions we do. Shifting away from performative activism and focusing in on things that really need change.

Outside of ASPLU I like to paint and draw. All things involving creativity. I love to cook and bake as well! Email me or come talk to me anytime! I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions. I am here to help anyway I can <3!
