Our Mission

Students are hungry for many different reasons. The conditions of the spaces that they come from do not change because they attend a university such as PLU.

It is important for campuses to have food pantries in the efforts to help alleviate the stress and worry that students face due to food insecurities. Food insecurity is the lack of access to affordable and nutritious foods.

Students cannot do their best in class on an empty stomach, and we are here so that they have the resources they need to succeed.

Donations

We accept non-perishable food donations and hygiene products. If you would like to make a donation please bring your items into Campus Ministry, located on the first floor of the AUC.

If there is no one in Campus Ministry to give the items to directly, feel free to leave them on the table with a note marking them as “Donation.”

Pantry User Form

Please fill out this Google Form prior to utilizing the pantry. These forms help us to understand how to better serve and meet the needs of those who utilize this resource.

Our Note to You

The establishment of the PLU Pantry continues as a “work in progress.” We are still ironing out the process and procedures, yet we do not want our learning curve to hinder serving anyone in need. We welcome your comments and feedback!

Location

The PLU Pantry is located on the first floor of the AUC between the Scandinavian Center and Campus Ministry.
