The Rev. John P. Rosenberg is an ordained minister of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and most recently served as Interim University Pastor during the 2015-2016 academic year. John is no stranger to PLU. He completed his pastoral internship with Campus Ministry at PLU 40 years ago (1975-76) as a part of his Masters of Divinity program at Seminex (Concordia Seminary in Exile) in St. Louis, MO.

For the past 35 years, John has served as a campus pastor at Portland State University, adjunct faculty member on several campuses, transitional pastor, and local congregation pastor before retiring from full-time ministry in June of 2014. John is married to Nancy Faaren (’76, ’82). They live in Tumwater, WA, and are the parents of Liv  Blanning (’01) and Britt Rosenberg (’05), and have five grandchildren.
