Biography

Rev. Dr. Samuel Torvend is a Professor of Religion at PLU, and is the Endowed Chair of Lutheran Studies. In addition to teaching, Dr. Torvend also leads theology conferences at PLU and other locations, is a published author, and serves as a priest at Christ Episcopal Church in Tacoma.
