At approximately 5:03pm Campus Safety received reports of what sounded like gunfire near campus. The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department was already in the area and began to investigate. Initial reports suggest an incident involving gunfire occurred on 129th St s.
At 5:56pm After an extensive search of the area the Pierce county Sheriff’s Department has confirmed that the subjects associated with the incident fled the area immediately following the conflict. The incident appears isolated and there is not a danger to the campus community. There is no indication that involved parties are associated with PLU.
