On 10/21/21 at 10:21 am, PLU will be holding our annual fall preparedness drill. This year’s drill is an earthquake scenario in concert with the Great Washington Shakeout. When the drill begins, please begin the following process. You will also receive a PLU Alert phone/text/email notification for each step in the drill.

  • Drop, Cover, and Hold on
  • After approximately 60 seconds, evacuate the building
  • Go to the assembly point for your building and check in with your instructor or supervisor who will then report to the Emergency Building Coordinator
  • Wait for the Emergency Building Coordinator to finish their tasks and announce re-entry is permitted to the building.
  • A PLU Alert notification will be sent after approximately 15 minutes concluding the drill.

Please take the time to periodically familiarize yourself with all of PLU’s Emergency Procedures and know the Assembly Points for the buildings you frequent.

Information on evacuation for those with mobility impairment can be found here.
